Reforming Education? What’s it about?

“…Our university system is, in many parts, in a state of disrepair. In almost half the districts [340] in the country, higher education enrolments are abysmally low, almost two-third of our universities and 90 per cent of our colleges are rated as below average on quality parameters… “

This is what Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had to say at the 150th Anniversary of the University of Mumbai. Similar alarmist comments can be made about the Primary and Secondary education sectors.

We need reforms in our education system to enable education for all. Reforming Education will focus on such initiatives. It will not only bring to the fore the plight of our system, but will also give its honest recommendations for improving the scenario.
